The project of special vehicles with annual 3000 sets output by joint venture.

2. Background

There are 551 manufactures of special vehicles and reassembly vehicles all over the country, 27 of which are joint venture. According to the new automobile industry policy, the manufactures must have integrate production permitting catalogue. Many of the manufactures have no scale benefit.

3. Content

The feasibility report of manufacturing 3000 sets special vehicles has been finished now. It makes good use of the available chassis of FAW and we ourselves produce the upper part carriage.

The products include: a. dump trailer b. van tran of heat preservation c. concrete mixer and oil supplying tank d. compressed garbage vehicle e. vehicles for concrete pumping, car transportation and snow removing.

4. The selection of factory site and project design

We are going to build the factory in East Nanhu road, Changchun Economic and Technical Development zone where Chanlin Group Lies in. It occupies 149 thousand square meters area with architectural area 65.7 thousand square meters. We plan to use 13,680 square meters area for the workshop. The length of the workshop is 120 meters while the width is 14 meters. There are all together 5 spans, each is 24 meters or 18 meters. The workshop is built with steel structure.

• Equipments: 59 sets punching machines; 107 sets welding machines; 12 sets processing machines; other equipment 3 sets.

• The project schedule: we plan to produce 400 sets by the end of 2006 and 3000 sets by 2008.

• The total investment of the project is USD8,030,000. It is composed of two parts: newly added investment USD 3,900,000 and former fixer assets USD4,130,000

• Production goal: In the first period, 1000 sets be produced per year with USD26,600,000 annual revenue; in the second period, 3000 sets be produced per year(after 2008) with USD798,026,600,000 annual revenue.

5. Market analysis

Chanlin Group plans to introduce the advanced technology from abroad and join capital with domestic enterprises to develop the special vehicle market. At the very beginning, we adopt the famous abroad brand and then create a self-owned national brand at last. We try to seize the 10% market of 30000 national special vehicles demand and achieve exportation.
